Tersky Okochan’s petitions of 1614, 1616
Abstract
The article is devoted to the question of illumination of petitions addressed to tsar Michael Romanov made by an ethnic group of Chechens - Tersky Okochans (Okoks) settled in Tersky town in the end of the 16th century. They have been put on the state service under the command of the Tersky governor, participatited in military compaigns, in the protection of the fortress, in mediation activity of Tersk administration with people of North Caucasus.
