Albert B. Lord and His Works on Epic Research

Abstract

In the article the life and work of an outstanding American scholar Albert B. Lord, the researcher of European eposes, the founder of the “oral” theory or Perry Lord’s theory is described. The author gives the description of his research on the «Kalevala», published in English.
