Research Interests:

Archeology of Central Volga area, monuments and objects of cultural heritage of the period of the Volga Bulgaria, the Golden Horde, the Kazan khanate in RT and beyond its limits, complex reconstruction of history of the population and the states of the Volga-Ural region from the early Middle Ages to Modern times.

A.G. Sitdikov heads work on the organization and carrying out saving archaeological researches in the territory of RT and Kazan, including the Kazan Kremlin.

Actively is engaged in creation of the new scientific directions in archaeological science: implementation of modern technologies in archeology in the area the arkheometricheskikh of researches, restorations of objects from an archaeological tree, leather, textiles, development of a geographic information system "Archeology of Tatarstan", the managed database of archeology of the republic, the Unified state register of objects of historical and cultural heritage of RT, large programs and projects on studying and saving of historical and cultural heritage of the people of Tatarstan, Russia and Eurasia in general.

With its participation such large museum centers as the Museum of the Bulgarian civilization, "The Kazan panorama" are created. The example of an innovation in the sphere of preservation and promoting of historical and cultural heritage is the "Museum of an archaeological tree" created under its scientific and methodical management in Sviyazhsk.

The monographic series "Archeology of the Eurasian Steppes", "Archeology and Natural Sciences of Tatarstan", "Archeology of the Volga region and the Urals are created: materials and researches", the Povolzhskaya Arkheologiya magazine (in the VAK list), the International field archaeological school in Bolgare, the certified expert in conducting the state historical and cultural examination, the expert of RAS of the "Historical Sciences, Cultural Science, Art Criticism" group is organized.
