Abstract

After gaining the independence, Mongolia, in the period of 1911-1919, carried out an independent policy aimed at reviving the national economy. An important policy direction of the Mongolian government in this area was considered to be the exploitation of wealth and natural resources, the proceeds from which were to be the source of the solution of financial difficulties. In these circumstances, the government of the country took concrete measures such as drafting legislative acts, entering into contracts and contracting with the company “Mongolor” and Russian entrepreneurs for the development of gold mines and increase of tax for the exploitation of the country’s wealth. All this though did not bring big economic benefits, but contributed significantly to the strengthening of national interests of the Mongolian state.
