Consequences of the German Occupation Regime in the years of the Great Patriotic War in the Zapadny Ulus of the Kalmyk ASSR
Abstract
The article considers the development of the Zapadny Ulus Kalmyk ASSR in the pre-war years and destructive consequences of the German occupation regime during the war. The author describes human loss and material damage inflicted to Kalmykia on example of one of its regions (ulus).
