Conscription Legislation and Recruiting of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army by the Representatives of the Non-Russian Peoples in the 1920s

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of recruiting of the units of the Red Army by the representatives of the non-Russian peoples and experience of forming of the national units in the 1920s. The special attention is paid to the analysis of the peculiarities of the representatives of the non-Russian peoples as the military service and military personnel as well as solution of concerned problems by the leadership of the Soviet Armed Forces.
