Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of conclusion of marriage by abduction of the bride among the Kalmyks in the first half of the XIX century. There are two types of marriage by abduction: the first ― violent abduction of the girl, the second ― abduction with her consent and with the knowledge of her parents. The problem of the fragility of family links in the marriage, committed by means of bride kidnapping is considered.

Abstract

The article considers the process of splitting of unified Spiritual Board of Muslims of the European part of the USSR and Siberia (later — the Central Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia) and formations of independent regional Spiritual Boards. It is noted that in the majority of regions with a noticeable share of the Muslim population some alternative muftiyats have appeared.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the results of the stationary archaeological excavations of the settlement of the bronze age Ergeninskoe carried out for the first time in the Republic of Kalmykia. The total size of the excavated area is 107 sq.m. The cultural layer up to 80 cm thick contained 335 fragments of ceramics, 89 flints and 29,5 kg of the animal bones. The diorite axe, fragments of spindle whorls and bone artefacts were found. The settlement is dating back to final stage of the early bronze age.

The article is devoted to the results of studying of the preservation of archaeological finds from the barrow burial group Arkhara, excavated in 1962–1963 by U. E. Erdniev and I. V. Sinitzyn and stored in the funds of the National Museum of the Republic of Kalmykia named after N. Palmov.

The article is devoted to the synonymy of phraseologisms. It is proved that phraseological synonyms having integrated semas differ by differential signes: semantic types and compatibility. Semantic types of phraseological synonyms are equal, ideographic and stylistic. Structurally among these idioms there are one-model and similar-model.

Abstract
The article provides the description of graphic and orthographic features of the XVIII century cursive writing in the context of its contemporary phenomena on the material of Аyuka Khan’s and his contemporaries’ letters translated into Russian. It is noted that analyzed texts were created long before the introduction of the new Russian alphabet and therefore characterized by a number of specific graphic features related to the period prior to the reforms of Peter the Great.

The article deals with the issues of the systemic features of folk lexicon, in particular, the idea of clusters and cluster analysis is used to identify national and cultural identity of historic song vocabulary. Cluster is represented as a system of interconnected subclusters constituting an integral characteristics of a particular fragment of the song worldview.

The paper explores a variety of means of verbalization of concepts «joy» and «smile» in the Kalmyk language. The studied literary texts fix contexts, refl ecting such varieties of the joy as « joy-pleasure», «joy-excitement», «joy-relief». The contexts which characterized by data phenomena are defined.

Abstract
The article deals with the precedent phenomenon “and the steppe-loving Kalmyk” in the all-Russian and Kalmyk linguistic consciousness on the material of mass media. In the authors’ opinion, this precedent phenomenon is used in the figurative meaning in the all-Russian scale. But in the Kalmyk linguistic consciousness it is used in the denotative meaning and is connected with the peculiarities of the national culture, traditions, and mentality of the Kalmyk people.

The article is devoted to the issues of preparation for the scientific edition of archival texts of the paremias оf the Mongolian peoples in the record of A. V. Burdukov. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that Burdukov solved the key problems of a scientifi c edition of samples of small genres оf the Mongolian peoples, associated with the formation of a corpus of texts, their systematization and translation, analysing and transcribing texts with the application of scientifi c apparatus.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the legends of the Telengits, written down by the author in Kosh-Agach region of the Republic of Altai. The author comes to a conclusion that plots composition of the legends of the Telengits is extensive. Genetically related plots are found in the Turkic-Mongolian folklore tradition, typologically similar parallel forms are found in the folklore tradition of other peoples.

The article is devoted to the analysis of mythological characters in the Bashkir fairy tale, the so-called enemies of the hero. The most common characters are dev, ajdaha, mjaskej which are found in fairy tales of other Turkic peoples, in particular, among the Tatars.
